Cobham FC Juniors and Youth set-up will see Shooting Star Children’s Hospices on the front of team shirts for the next three years.

The sponsorship space has been donated by Dan Parker, co-owner of leading talent management agency, 84 World. Dan commented: “I am delighted to be able to support both Shooting Star Children’s Hospices & Cobham F.C for the next three years, it’s great to be able to give back to the local community. Our hope is that this sponsorship deal will help raise further awareness in the local community around the incredible work Shooting Star Children’s Hospices does. I in particular have a long standing association with Cobham F.C, and see first hand what an important role they play in the community with their Juniors and Youth set-up, providing a pathway to senior football.”

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, we’re there to make every moment count. Our bespoke support is free of charge to families and includes a comprehensive range of therapies and support groups for the whole family, specialist nursing care and respite, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support. We support 700 families living across Surrey and west London. It costs £10.1 million a year to maintain our current level of care and just 20% of that income comes from government funding, so we rely on our supporters’ generosity to keep the service running

“We are thrilled to have been chosen as the nominated charity by Cobham FC and are very much looking forward to a successful partnership over the next three years. Their support will mean we can continue to be there for local families, providing vital care and support to those who need us most and we would like to extend a huge thank you from everyone at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices for choosing us.”

Cobham FC reaches nearly 400 local families through its Junior & Youth Teams and Saturday morning soccer school. The committee is looking forward to supporting the charity and raise awareness and of course much needed donations.
